Atlético Nacional tied 2-2 with Millonarios, on the second date of home run A in the I-2022 League. With goals from Jarlan Barrera and Yeison Guzmán for the locals and Yerson Candelo against and Daniel Ruiz for the ambassadors, the team from the capital continues to make a difference in its group.
Under a final atmosphere, with a full house, Atlético Nacional came out to make a difference on the scoreboard from the first minute and almost achieved it through Jarlan Barrera, who had scored a great goal from the right sector, but his play was annulled by out of place.
At minute 6, Nacional had taken the lead through Emmanuel Olivera, the Argentine took advantage of an overflow from the left sector and finished pushing the ball into the back of the net with his right leg. However, the referee Carlos Ortega was called by the VAR to analyze the play. Three minutes later, the central judge annulled the action, due to an apparent foul by Jefferson Duque on Álvaro Montero.
At minute 12, the go-ahead goal came for Millonarios, product of a play originated by Elvis Perlaza and in an attempt to deny it, Yerson Candelo scored an own goal.
Despite the goal, Nacional continued to take control of the ball, looking for a tie. But he was only able to generate a couple of approaches through the dead ball. Millonarios, for his part, had the second at minute 24 through Daniel Ruiz, but his shot was managed by goalkeeper Kevin Mier.
At minute 30, Álvaro Angulo left the match, and Danovis Banguero entered. The former Golden Eagles winger had reported physical discomfort five minutes earlier and as a precaution they made the change.
About the 33rd minute, Andrés Gómez failed to take advantage of a pass from David Silva, the blue team had taken control of the game and with the advantage in the result, they played more calmly. At 36, Daniel Mantilla shot from the right sector and the ball went wide.
Nacional tied at minute 42 through Jarlan Barrera, the samarium took advantage of a center by Daniel Mantilla from the right sector and skillfully managed to overcome the resistance of goalkeeper Álvaro Montero.
After Nacional tied, Yerson Candelo committed a foul that could have been sent off. The side was having a night to forget. In stoppage time, Diego Herazo had the second for Millonarios, but on the line, Emmanuel Olivera managed to avoid the ambassador’s goal.
In the complementary stage, Jáder Valencia entered instead of Diego Herazo in Millonarios. The purslane continued to attack, in search of the second goal, but they were not clear in the last stretch of the pitch.
At minute 6, a shot by Larry Angulo, hit the ball on the left post, the former Junior with a header, after a center by Daniel Ruiz. Then, David Silva finished off and the ball hit the post again, saving Nacional.
As the minutes passed, the game became more dynamic and both teams created scoring chances. With Dorlan Pabón and Jáder Valencia as protagonists in Nacional and Millonarios respectively.
At minute 20, Ruyery Blanco entered in place of Jefferson Duque in Atlético Nacional. The purslane team took a second wind and at minute 23, Dorlan Pabón had had two arrivals that almost ended in a goal. Millonarios responded with another substitution, at minute 28, when Eduardo Sosa entered instead of Carlos Gómez.
At minute 29, Millonarios managed to get ahead of the scoreboard through Daniel Ruiz who took advantage of a pass from David Silva and with his left leg finished off the left post, leaving Kevin Mier without reaction.
One minute later, Nacional made three changes: Andrés Andrade, Jhon Duque and Yeison Guzmán replaced Jarlan Barrera, Alexander Mejía and Daniel Mantilla.
Around minute 34, Atlético Nacional tied the match through Yeison Guzmán who took advantage of a rebound and although it seemed that he was in an advanced position and the referee’s assistant had annulled the action. The VAR validated the play. Two minutes later, David Silva left the field amid the whistle of purslane spectators, José Cuenú entered. The Bogota midfielder played a great game at Atanasio. At 44 Ricardo Márquez entered instead of Daniel Ruiz.
About the 45th minute, a foul on the edge of the area on the right sector, Dorlan Pabón sent the ball into the area and in the middle of an interlude, the third almost came for the purslane.
The final minutes were tense, but little risk in the goals. The draw was enough for Millonarios to get a good result from Atanasio, but it wasn’t enough for Nacional, considering that the people from the capital had the invisible point. With this result, the ambassador team is the leader with 4 points, while Nacional is third in the group with 2 units.
On the next date, Atlético Nacional receives Atlético Bucaramanga, while Millonarios visits Junior in Barranquilla.
