Always as ambitious and determined to start a real revolution, Paris Saint-Germain still promises to animate a summer transfer window which promises to be pivotal. Arrivals, departures, formalizations: here is the point of transfers already registered or to come for the club of the capital.

It’s no secret: Mauricio Pochettino’s days are numbered. The Argentinian technician did not convince and his departure will be recorded in the coming days, a year and a half after his arrival.
To replace it, Doha has long dreamed of Zinedine Zidane but the 1998 world champion prefers to eye the post of coach of the France team after the 2022 World Cup… It is therefore Christophe Galtier, darling of the new sports adviser Luis Campos and on the start in Nice only a year later his arrival, who will settle on the bench of PSG once the departure of Pochettino has been formalized.
Mercato PSG: it’s already official
The transfer window did not officially open until the beginning of June, but PSG have already achieved the biggest “transfer” of their summer. While he seemed promised to Real Madrid with an inevitable departure, Kylian Mbappé finally joined the club of his city until June 2025. Given his importance and the level reached by the French striker last season, we is tempted to say that the capital club has already made the biggest transfer of the summer.
PSG has also formalized the final signing of left-back Nuno Mendes. On loan from Sporting Lisbon, the young Portuguese has given satisfaction and the French champion has therefore exercised his purchase option of 40 million euros to secure his services until June 2026.
In the opposite direction, despite his desire to continue the adventure, winger Angel Di Maria (34) was asked to pack his bags after 7 years of good and loyal service, the Parisians having decided not to activate his option extension. Another official departure, that of Marcin Bulka. On loan last season, the goalkeeper convinced Nice to pay €2 million to keep him permanently.
Ten sales expected
While Leonardo, recently ousted from his position as sporting director, has sinned in this area in recent years, sales are expected this summer during the PSG transfer window to slim down the workforce. The Parisian ex-DS, Antero Henrique, was charged with this mission without occupying any official position in the organization chart.
A dozen players are invited to find a new base. Among them, goalkeeper Sergio Rico, defenders Layvin Kurzawa, Colin Dagba (targeted by Strasbourg), Thilo Kehrer and Abdou Diallo, midfielders Leandro Paredes, Ander Herrera, Danilo Pereira, Gana Gueye and Julian Draxler and striker Mauro Icardi. Except that the task does not look so simple since Paredes and Icardi have, for example, clearly displayed their want to stay…
If their current club does not keep them, Rafinha (Real Sociedad), Pablo Sarabia (Sporting Portugal) and Alphonse Areola (West Ham), all on loan this season, could also be invited to pack their bags.
Normally, PSG does not have to fear a “suffered” departure even if there is a slight vagueness around Presnel Kimpembe. Under contract until June 2024 and courted by Chelsea, the central defender recently put a little pressure by asking the club to clarify his project and his role in it.
Still in the direction of departures, there is still a Parisian star who could shake up the transfer window: Neymar. Indeed, the Brazilian has disappointed a lot since his arrival and will not necessarily be retained, as implied by the President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. Problem: apart from Newcastle, a destination that does not thrill him, no other club is currently able to offer the former Barcelonan a salary equivalent to that which he receives in the capital (around 4 M€ monthly) . The Auriverde therefore sees itself going through to the end of its contract, in June 2025.
Mercato PSG: arrivals made in Campos?
With a transfer window estimated at around €80m (including €40m already used for Nuno Mendes), PSG will not necessarily splurge this summer but its budget could increase in the event of sales. About 5 positions are targeted.
The one that is causing the most ink to flow at the start of the transfer window concerns the central defense. Milan Skriniar is Campos’ priority, but Inter Milan are demanding at least €70m and have rejected Paris’ first offer of €50m. Gabriel (Arsenal), Pau Torres (Villarreal) and Kalidou Koulibaly (Naples) are cited as plan B. Sven Botman (Lille) is also appreciated but seems promised to Newcastle. Still in defense, the scheduled departure of Dagba led to the search for a new understudy for Achraf Hakimi in the right lane. Malo Gusto (OL) is one of the few names that has circulated in this register.
Big work then in midfield where PSG are still looking for the rare pearl and where two minimum arrivals are expected. The tracks Aurélien Tchouaméni (recruited by Real Madrid), Paul Pogba (close to a return to Juventus Turin) and Frenkie de Jong (courted by Manchester United) have circulated but seem lost in advance or even already compromised for some. On the other hand, PSG has almost completed the arrival of the Portuguese international, Vitinha (FC Porto), who will land for 40 million euros and a twin label from Marco Verratti. Discussions are also taking place with Lens concerning the excellent Seko Fofana, estimated at 30 or 40 M€, while a turnaround seems to be underway to attract Lille’s Renato Sanches, a time promised to AC Milan.
Finally, despite Mbappé’s extension and the difficulties of exfiltrating Icardi, an arrival is still hoped for during this PSG transfer window. Author of 16 goals in the last Serie A exercise, Gianluca Scamacca (Sassuolo) is very popular with Campos despite his high price (40 to 50 M€), but the leader does not want to forbid himself and could hit even higher. The Portuguese has indeed recently exchanged with the agent of Robert Lewandowski, who wishes to leave Bayern Munich this summer! For the moment, the Pole clearly favors a departure for FC Barcelona and nothing says that the Bavarians will accept to open the door but Paris is on the lookout in this file which promises to inflame the supporters.
