Are the Knicks ready to bring Carmelo Anthony back to New York?

With 13.3 points per game against the Los Angeles Lakers, Carmelo Anthony had a very decent nineteenth NBA season, in line with his last two in Portland.

The former New York and Denver player confirmed that he could still score points from the bench. And since only the minimum wage ($ 2.6 million) has been paid for the past three seasons, it represents excellent value for money.

This is likely why the Knicks would be in full reflection to bring him back to his old squad (2011-2017), according to information gleaned by the New York Post.

After a failed season (37 wins by 45 losses) and no playoffs, as was the case with the Lakers, the Knicks have to make some changes to recover, but it is certainly not the arrival of Carmelo Anthony that is a priority.

This bears the names of Kemba Walker and Mitchell Robinson. The former was banned from rotation twice during the regular season and a solution will have to be found for his final year of contract at $ 9.2 million.

The second is a free agent this summer and has been courted by several franchises for a few months already. To keep it in a group you will have to make a really substantial offer.
