The transfer from Toby Alderweireld (33) to Antwerp is gradually coming.
Al Duhail initially struggled, because it counted on the Belgian to win the Asian Champions League. In the meantime, however, the Qatari top club is cooperating and negotiations at club level are moving in the right direction.
There is still a gap between supply and demand. Al Duhail himself paid 13 million euros a year ago to remove the Red Devil from Tottenham and wants to recover as much as possible, but the Great Old doesn’t give up any more. It wants to go far for this top and prestige transfer. It also has a top contract ready for Alderweireld, who himself hopes the deal can be finalized soon. In a week Antwerp will go on an internship to Austria and he would like to be there already.
