A parabad afternoon organized by the Secular Patronage of Relecq-Kerhuon, this Saturday – Le Relecq-Kerhuon

Why organize this session?

“The departmental committee offers this parabad animation for an opening to all. And we, at the club, aim to dedicate a badminton niche to people with physical disabilities.

What type of disability is this session open to?

“The federation offers six categories: player seated in a wheelchair with or without abs; standing player who can run; standing player who cannot run; standing player with a disability in the upper limbs and finally short players under 1.45 m for men and 1.37 m for women”.

How will the afternoon go?

“The reception and the proceedings will be provided by Guillaume Galli, who is the committee’s referent. He himself is disabled. Practical simulation exercises will be offered. In addition, the room has benefited from work by the town hall which has allowed better accessibility”.

And for the club, in the future?

“The development of a parabad leisure and competition section is an objective. Finistère has only one club that offers parabad in competition. Disabled athletes are like “ordinary” athletes; they have a competitive spirit. Personally, I am going to do parabad workout training. We will renew the operation at the start of the school year”.

Practice

Salle de Kermadec, Saturday June 25, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
