Erling Haaland reveal the reason to join Manchester City. Apart from his father’s influence, Haaland had two other reasons.
Haaland has officially become a Man City player. The Norwegian striker signed a contract until 2027.
Before joining City, Haaland was one of the strikers who had many fans. A number of top European clubs are chasing the 21-year-old’s signature.
Haaland admits his father, Alfie Haaland, who is a former City player, influenced his decision to move to the Etihad Stadium. However, the former Borussia Dortmund player also had other reasons.
“First, my father, a little bit,” Haaland replied as quoted on the club’s official website.
“I was born in England. I’ve been a City fan my whole life. I know a lot about the club.”
“In the end, (deciding to join depends on) two things. I feel at home and I feel I can improve and put out the best game at City,” continued Haaland.
“I like the style (of playing). I like attacking football. I like the positive vibe we have when City play.”
“This is what I really like, so I think it fits,” said Erling Haaland.
