With the aim of combating school dropouts due to lack of resources to buy materials, the Municipal Government, through the Zapopan ¡Presente! program, delivered 46 school packages with sports uniforms, tennis shoes, backpacks and school supplies in the Irma Raquel kindergarten Arias Lino, from the Arboledas neighborhood.

This program has been implemented for seven years to provide school kits to all students who belong to the Public Educational System of the Municipality of Zapopan at the basic education level: preschool, primary and secondary.

In his message, Mayor Juan José Frangie endorsed his commitment to guarantee that boys and girls have the best tools and decent spaces for their learning.

“We have been with this program for seven years in which we help you a lot so that you are comfortable, that you can play, that you have your pants, your sneakers, that you have your backpack, your supplies, but we also help a lot to the economy of the parents. It is an expense that is always very strong. Today the Government of Zapopan will continue to support all schools. There are more than 200 thousand students who are being supported”.

Prior to the delivery of uniforms and school packages, through the “Zapopan mi colonia” program, children’s games were placed and with “Paint Zapopan” murals related to the issues promoted in that institution, such as urban gardens, pollinating gardens and plant crops.

“Today in the Garden we are celebrating, because thanks to the support of the Zapopan City Council we are achieving that after almost 2 years of pandemic where the school campuses were very deteriorated, we are rescuing them through the programs that the City Council has. Today I have nothing left to say to Frangie: thank you very much for all these programs that really have a direct benefit for schools”, said Eva Odesa Parada Ornelas, school supervisor of Zone #16.

With these actions, the commitment that the Municipal Government has with the education of girls, boys and young people of the municipality in safe and dignified environments is endorsed.
