World Snooker Championship – O’Sullivan and Trump in the final – Sport

Exceptional player Ronnie O’Sullivan has reached the final of the Snooker World Championship in Sheffield. The six-time world champion from England defeated Scotsman John Higgins 17:11 on Saturday. After a balanced start, O’Sullivan was able to pull away more and more in the clash between the 46-year-old veterans, which is also known as the “classic” of snooker. During the semifinals, English Eurosport expert Jimmy White said of the two world-class players: “They are like Federer and Nadal: two of the best of all time.” O’Sullivan is aiming for his seventh world title, which would see him level with Scottish legend Stephen Hendry. In the final on Sunday and Monday, the world number one meets his English compatriot Judd Trump, 32. The 2019 world champion beat Mark Williams 17:16 in the semifinals on Saturday.
