BOLASPORT.COM – Manchester City coach, Pep Guardiola, only needs one weapon to counter the criticism from two Manchester United legends at once.

Pep Guardiola has hit back at two Manchester United legends, Patrice Evra and Dimitar Berbatov, over criticism of Manchester City’s mentality following their Champions League exit.

Manchester City failed to advance to the 2021-2022 Champions League final after surrendering 5-6 on aggregate to Real Madrid in the semifinals.

After Manchester City’s elimination from the Champions League, Patrice Evra accused Pep Guardiola of not wanting a strong personality in the dressing room.

“Manchester City needs a leader, but Guardiola doesn’t want a leader,” said Evra, quoted by BolaSport.com from the Mirror.

“He doesn’t want that kind of personality among his players. He’s the leader himself.”

“Therefore, when the Manchester City players are in trouble, they don’t have anyone on the pitch to help them,” said the man who presented 14 trophies for Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Berbatov likened Man City’s loss to Real Madrid to how a small club would react under pressure.
