West Ham manager shoots ball boy: ‘He returned the ball very softly’

That’s called losing control! Indeed, David Moyes, the coach passed by Everton, Manchester United and West Ham now, completely twisted during the meeting which passed his team in Frankfurt Thursday in the semi-final second leg of the Europa League.

In the 78th minute, the Scottish manager simply attacked a ballboy who was taking too long, in his opinion, to return the ball. “Throw the ball”, he exclaimed in the direction of the young collector posted next to the sidelines of West Ham.

When he complied, Moyes returned the ball clearing it, rather furiously, in his direction. An incident did not escape the line and field referee who decided to exclude the manager and send him back to the stands.

At the post-match press conference, David Moyes wanted to apologize and tried to explain why he had gone up in the towers. “I shot the ball at the ball boy,” he admitted at a press conference. “I apologize but he sent it back to me very gently,” he joked before reiterating his apologies to the young ball boy.
