“We cannot approach the 2020s with the tools of the past century”

Finally, last point: the attractiveness of the sector.

We no longer make people dream, we have to re-enchant our profession. We have a roadmap: telework, flexibility, profit-sharing, employee savings… In our collective agreement, the first two salary levels, category A and B, have both been since May 1 (date of the revaluation of the SMIC editor’s note) below the SMIC.

We will have to have a more dynamic salary policy and think about participation and the sharing of wealth with employees.”

For the president of the EDV, digitalization, eco-responsibility and attractiveness must be part of a global CSR approach. To implement this program, Jean-Pierre Mas wants to lead the modernization of the union.

“We have to collect a lot of information, particularly economic information. We worked a lot during the crisis on this aspect. We also want to expand the range of services that will be offered at different levels depending on the needs of members and their profile.”

To conclude, Jean-Pierre Mas calls for unity: “We must remain united and as united as during the crisis. Let’s play together, work together. There are steps to climb and be sure of my determination to climb them together.”
