Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni said team-mate Ivan Perisic was completely fit from eating “strange things”.
Perisic, 33, has been a mainstay in Inter’s starting XI this season, appearing in 48 games in all competitions and scoring nine goals.
Two of those goals came in Inter’s 4-2 win against Juventus in the Coppa Italia final after extra time, and he then registered another assist as the Nerazzurri beat Cagliari 3-1 in Serie A last weekend.

What did Bastoni say about Perisic?
Bastoni believes Perisic’s best form depends on what he eats, but the 23-year-old has no interest in copying his diet knowing what it contains.
Said the young Italian defender to DAZN: “Even in training he is always strong, at dinner I ask him what he eats because I want to eat the same thing too. But it turns out he eats bread, turkey and avocado, weird things, so I avoid him.”
“Ivan is a great professional to emulate, he played 120 minutes in the Coppa Italia and he is better [lawan Cagliari pada hari Minggu] of himself on Wednesday. “
What is the future of Perisic?
Perisic’s contract at Inter will expire at the end of the 2021/22 season.
The Croatia international is likely to leave the San Siro at the end of the season after he criticized Inter after winning the Coppa Italia for a lack of focus on contract renewal efforts.
A move to the Premier League could be the next goal, with Chelsea and Newcastle United said to be interested in signing him this summer.
