Tiffany & Co. has been making the Larry O’Brien trophy for NBA champions since 1977. For 2022, in honor of the NBA’s 75th anniversary, they’re giving all the major awards a makeover. The Eastern and Western Conference MVPs will now receive the Larry Bird and Magic Johnson trophies, respectively, honoring the pair’s historic rivalry that has taken the NBA to new heights. Both, as well as the new Bob Cousy and Oscar Robertson Conference Champ trophies and the revamped Larry O’Brien, were designed in collaboration with artist Victor Solomon of Literally Balling and the Bill Russell Finals MVP Award. Leaning forward into the future, the championship trophy is plated with 24k gold with Tiffany’s signature sterling silver in the base – which now has enough space to list final winners through 2046 – and in the trophy’s laces.
