This £84 million man is ready to land at Arsenal to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Arsenal’s search for a replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang continues.

The Gazzetta dello Sport claim, The Gunners now looking at Victor Osimhen in the transfer market next summer. According to this media report, Arsenal are favorites for the Napoli striker’s signature.

Even so, the North London club was required to spend a lot of money. Napoli are believed to have priced Osimhen at £84 million.

Arsenal themselves have been monitoring Osimhen for the last few months. After letting Aubameyang join Barcelona for free, current manager Mikel Arteta has only two senior strikers.

In the January transfer window, Arsenal had actually been looking for talents from the Italian Serie A. Having been close to former Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, in the end this Serbian player decided to move closer to Juventus.

Now, Arsenal are focused on chasing the signature of Osimhen, 23 years old.

Osimhen appears to be a more attractive option for Arsenal than Vlahovic given his ‘physical and athletic’ condition, attributes sought for in a new striker position.

Osimhen also has a more dynamic playing style like Aubameyang’s golden days at the Emirates Stadium.

Even so, Arsenal are likely to reject the price tag set by Napoli for Osimhen, which is £84 million, and it looks like the Serie A club will also stay at that figure.
