Despite rumors of Michael Vick’s participation in Fan Controlled Footballthe former quarterback ended the fans’ dream by denying the news.

“I retired in 2015 never to return,” said the tweet posted by Vick this Sunday (22). “I had a lot of fun and had many achievements. I’m saying this to let you know that I’m staying retired. I appreciate the opportunity to play, but I prefer to use my experience in the administrative part”.

TMZ Sports had reported that Vick would participate in the final week of the FCF regular season, which is a league where fans can decide plays. The league began to draw attention when wide receiver Terrell Owens confirmed his participation.

Vick retired from the NFL in 2015 after 13 seasons. The quarterback was selected by the Atlanta Falcons with the first overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft and remained with the team for six seasons. In addition, he spent five seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, one with the New York Jets and one with the Pittsburgh Steelers before retirement.

In 2006, Vick became the first quarterback in NFL history to rush over 1,000 rushing yards in a season, and he finished his career with 6,109 in total, as well as 36 rushing touchdowns.
