In Mériel (Val-d’Oise), from Saturday May 14, 2022, 10 a.m. to Sunday May 15, 2022, 6 p.m., the party will be held in the privileged and historic setting of the Val Abbey, a Cistercian abbey from the 12the century.
On the program: Viking and medieval camps, fencing demonstrations, archery, discovery of daily life in the Middle Ages.
From the authors of Medieval fantasy and craftsmen and traders will be present: leather work, forging, esotericism…
An exhibition The Middle Ages… like in a castle is held until May 24, at the new media library.
Friday, May 13, the children will parade in music in the city.
1000 years of Beaumont
In Beaumont-sur-Oise, the medieval festival of May 14 and 15, 2022 opens the celebration of the 1,000 years of the town.
As a preamble, a nocturnal lantern walk with Hoël le Jangleür will take place on Friday May 13, at 9.30 p.m. (registration at the media library on 01 34 70 03 31).
Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 May, meet at the Town Hall Park and on the Place du Château. In the park of the town hall: medieval village and market, camp of knights, sword fights, forges and workshops for young and old.
Medieval restaurants with the Black Griffon and the Golden Tonneau tavern.
Place du Château: historical events with demonstrations of falconry, ancient fencing, archery and crossbow shooting (from 7 years old), medieval wooden games.
For a bite to eat, check out Brod’s and Odin’s Tavern topped breads for a drink.
Saturday May 14, a large medieval banquet will be held in the Léo-Lagrange room at 8 p.m. Single menu, prices: €35 (€25 for children under 18). Res. : 01 30 28 79 75.
