The wait is over: May 27 has arrived on Netflix the fourth season of the cult series Stranger Things. The new chapter, divided into two volumes, takes us towards the epilogue: they are the darkest episodes of the whole saga. The protagonists, who we met as children, have definitely grown up and are now grappling with high school life. The new episodes take us back to Hawkins in 1986 between colorful bomber jackets, sneakers, baseball caps and high-waisted jeans. The retro style of the series launched the trend to follow for summer 2022: here’s how to recreate the iconic looks of Eleven, Dustin, Max and Nancy.
1. The plaid shirt
The element that cannot be missing in Eighties looks is the checked cotton shirt: the more colorful the better, to be worn strictly in an oversized version. How does it match? Under a dungaree (the trendy piece of summer 2022) or left open over a t-shirt (here the nerd print is a must) with colored sneakers.

2. La varsity jacket
What’s more American than the colorful varsity jacket? There college jacket bicolor is back in fashion together with the college style: it’s the right time to show off one, rigorously oversized and in bright colors such as forest green, blue and burgundy.

3. The colored sweatshirts
A pillar of the eighties style is sportswear: from hooded sweatshirts to acetate tracksuits, up to sneakers to be worn strictly with the white cotton sock well highlighted. A colored bomber jacket or a color block sweatshirt cannot be missing in the wardrobe, to be chosen in saturated or acid shades: light blue, mustard yellow, fluorescent green, lobster.

4. The stamped t-shirt
The real vintage gem of the series are the baseball t-shirts, that is the two-tone t-shirts with contrasting sleeves. They are called this because they were originally part of the uniforms of sports teams (of which they retain the motto and the symbol in the center). Printed t-shirts are a timeless pillar of casual style, a real style manifesto to personalize.

5. The cap with the visor
Finally, the accessories: can you imagine Dustin without his peaked cap? The baseball cap takes us straight back to the Eighties and is still the holiday accessory par excellence: ideal for keeping your head protected from the sun (in a cool way). All that remains is to get comfortable on the sofa and be inspired by the new season of Stranger Things for the next shopping session!
