The serve from the outside of the Californians ended in foul and straight in front of Wingert. The woman is fine, and she told on social networks that she had to face a five-hour queue in the emergency room to rule out fractures and had received some stitches on her forehead.

For Wingert, curiously, not the first incident of this kind: it happened too in 2018, when she was working for Fox Sports, and was hit during the Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies. Then it was much worse, with a fracture in the socket of the affected eye.

Back home. I have a fracture in my eye socket, but it could have been MUCH worse. I really appreciate all the tweets, calls and texts.
