The IMD approves allocating 915,000 euros for the change of lighting to LED…

The Governing Council of the Municipal Sports Institute (IMD) has approved in an extraordinary session allocating 915,000 euros for the execution of the project to change the lighting to LED in the El Sardinero Sport Fields.

As reported by the City Council in a statement, the transfer to this Administration of the amount of execution of the project is proposed due to the ownership of the El Sardinero Sport Fields, not assigned within the IMD facilities.

The repairs to be carried out on the lighting towers of the Sport Fields have been considered an emergency. The current lighting presents serious deterioration of the stadium’s spotlights, so that the screens end up detaching from the casings with the consequent danger, in addition to offering insufficient lighting capacity.

The Council has also approved equipment for the Sports Palace, an investment that can be recovered thanks to aid granted by the Higher Sports Council, amounting to 648,200 euros. This project is developed on the occasion of the celebration of the World Junior Badminton Championship, which will take place in the last quarter of 2022.

The improvements will consist of the supply and installation of video scoreboards (205,700 euros), supply and installation of parquet (302,500 euros), and change of lighting to LED (140,000 euros).

The Governing Council of the IMD has also approved the contribution of budget remnants for three projects amounting to 1,546,590 euros.

This is the sports pavilion of Numancia, which is in a situation of significant deterioration, so it has been considered necessary to carry out works on the cladding of the façade and improvement of the roof evacuation network.

Another is the Regiment soccer field, since the grass is very worn due to intense use, in addition to presenting drainage problems. Likewise, the replacement of the existing projectors with LED technology is planned.

Finally, the remodeling of the Mataleñas Golf Course will consist of the renovation of greens, tees and bunkers. The project is in the administrative processing phase for its approval.

In addition, the IMD has prepared a record of extrajudicial recognition of credits, amounting to 688,479 euros. These are services necessary for the operation of the Municipal Sports Institute, and it is necessary to pay the contractor who has performed them.

Along with this, it has been decided to carry out a credit supplement file in relation to incorporating into the 2022 budget certain operations from account 413, obligations corresponding to expenses incurred or goods and services actually received in the 2021 financial year of which no the recognition of obligations could be carried out. The amount amounts to 472,088 euros.

It has also been approved to allocate 46,400 euros to supplement amounts to the subsidies granted to the CDE Balonmano Sinfín, Sardinero Hockey Club, FC Bolos and PB Peñacastillo in the 2021 financial year and that in the 2022 budget proposal they had assigned higher amounts, agreed upon in the Council Rector of the Municipal Sports Institute.

Along with this, it has been approved to carry out a credit supplement file in relation to the expenses of nominative subsidies refer to consolidated events whose objective is that they last over time, and in the case of CDE Becedo for having risen in category. In total, 441,000 euros are allocated.

It has been approved to allocate an item for expenses for repairs, 242,000 euros, another for the repair of paddle tennis courts 2 and 3 of the Ruth Beitia Complex (now closed) for an amount of 18,150 euros, and a third for purchases of diverse material that amounts to at 230,791.96 euros.
