The footballers of the Portuguese club “Benfica” in Lisbon won the UEFA Champions League bronze medals on Sunday.

In the fight for the third place, the Lisbon players beat the French team “ACCS Asnieres Villeneuve 92” 5: 2 (0: 1).

Finalists “Barcelona” can be proud of three league winners, while “Sporting” with two. This will be a repeat duel for both teams, as they beat the Barcelona players 4: 3 in the final last season.
Benfica was the first Portuguese club to win the Champions League title in 2010.

Teams from 52 UEFA member states took part in the tournament this season. Only three countries in Europe did not start in the UEFA Champions League indoor football – the Faroe Islands, Iceland and Liechtenstein.
The Latvian championship team “Raba” won one victory in the pre-race round, suffered two losses and did not qualify for the main round.
