Varese Basketball relaunched the “Basketball: a school of life” project again this yearnow in its eighteenth edition. The initiative of the Varese-based company Varese, sponsored by Fip, Coni and the Municipality of Varese, it has been going on for more than three decades and always with growing participation. Last year saw, in fact, the participation from about 2500 children of local schools.
And so, thanks to the strong interest of Professor Federico Marsicoalso the ISIS “City of Luino – Carlo Volontè” had the opportunity to welcomewithin the school, a player from Varesewith the aim of bringing the fans closer to the team to give the students asocial and life imprint through the sharing of personal experiences, history, experiences and career.
Guest of the Luinese high school was Giancarlo FerreroSerie A player, captain of Varese Basketballwho told not only about his own careerma even his student years. The students of the 3LCat and 4LCat classes asked several questions on how it is possible to combine study and sport, showing great enthusiasm and underlining the desire to repeat the experience.
The project is carried out with the collaboration of the Provincial School Officewhich shares its main purpose, namely the promotion of basketball, the symbolic sport of our Province, which has made the name of Varese famous in Italy and in the world.
