Successful Dan exam in Frankfurt (Oder)

After a good year of preparation, which began with Dennis Rietz making himself available as uke to his partner Oliver Leistner, the two now swapped roles. Both knew the content of the exam and helped each other true to the principle: one’s own training should serve the other.

The preparation during this time was not easy. There have been setbacks and stagnation, mainly due to illness and quarantine. And the various Corona regulations strained the motivation. But they did not allow themselves to be dissuaded from their goal. Finally, the test was determined after several consultations in Frankfurt (Oder) and also through direct instructions via smartphone and video sequences, even in difficult times. Dennis Rietz thus achieved his goal of leaving sports school with a black belt.

He performed well to very well in the respective examination subjects. As a competitive athlete, he was particularly interested in applications, floor techniques and theory. But the other areas and the kata were also given good marks.

In the end, the examination committee with Daniel Klenner, Matthias Störzner and Gregor Wenzel attested to a very convincing performance. “It was fun to watch and listen to both of them,” says the chairman, Daniel Klenner, after the exam and congratulates him on passing the exam. “Against the background that Dennis is still in the middle of his Abitur exams and is still contesting one or the other competition highlight, it is even better that he kept his focus on the Dan exam,” praises Daniel Klenner and above all emphasizes the good team performance.
