It’s been a rough time for Sonya Curry lately. After her bloody divorce from Dell, who accused her of cheating, the former professional volleyball player is trying to rebuild herself. To achieve this, she recently released a book: “Fierce Love: A Memoir Of Family, Faith, and Purpose” – the opportunity for the mother of Seth, Steph and Sydel to make revelations hitherto kept secret from from the general public…
In the book, Sonya writes that Steph Curry simply should never have seen the light of day. It was only at the clinic where she had gone for the abortion that Dell’s ex-wife changed her mind and opted to keep her child. Thus was born Wardell Steph Curry II, one day in March 1988.

Passing by the microphone of Luke Norsworthy to promote his book, Sonya appeared moved by evoking the subject:
There might not be Steph Curry. It might not exist… If I had chosen abortion a second time (she had already done one before, editor’s note), it wouldn’t be there.
I think God had a plan for this child. His Spirit came into play at that time, without me even knowing it. It was faith that took over.
Very religious, Sonya Curry remains convinced that it is the Almighty who pushed her to make this decision on that fateful day when she was about to abort the one who became her eldest. Seth and Sydel then followed, and today the family is a model of success and, despite the divorce, of unity. The siblings have indeed managed the episode without taking a position, which allows the two brothers and their sister to keep a privileged bond with each of their parents.
Sonya, she should have an increased presence in the media over the next few weeks, in order, perhaps, to explain herself on other revelations unknown until then. One thing is certain: his busy schedule will not prevent him from supporting his offspring, who is aiming for a new NBA ring in a few weeks!
