Feyenoord confirms that Tyrell Malacia has suffered a hamstring injury. The 22-year-old defender is therefore not included in the match selection for the home match against FC Twente in De Kuip this weekend.
Malacia is also a question mark for the Conference League final against AS Roma on Wednesday 25 May, the Rotterdam club writes on its website. Feyenoord reports that it must be announced at a later stage whether he is fit enough in time.
Arne Slot is personally hopeful that Malacia will be able to train with the group again next week and therefore also play against AS Roma. “I wouldn’t want to use the word worrying,” Slot says in conversation with RTV Rijnmond.
