Sentenced to two months in prison for pretending to be a PSG player

The case took place on December 14, 2021 but was only made public during the trial which was held on April 28 at the judicial city of Lisieux (Calvados). It was the Ouest-France newspaper that revealed the story.

A 28-year-old man, who already has twelve convictions, was tried for the non-payment of two nights’ hotel accommodation in Lisieux for a total damage of 227.4 euros. A classic case of bullying except that this time, the man had found an original and daring reason not to pay his bill. Came to attend the Gambardella Cup match between Lisieux and PSG, won 5-1 by the Parisians, he presented himself at the reception as a player of the Parisian team. And at the time of paying his bill, he had asked that she be presented “to his agent” by giving a telephone number which, of course, never answered.

Obviously, the management of the hotel moderately appreciated the little joke and filed a complaint. The judgment therefore took place on April 28. Absent from the hearing, the man was not represented by “his agent” but by a court-appointed lawyer. And he was sentenced to two months in prison.
