School Games 2022: Alberto Córdoba Latorre School Champion in Basketball Ladies Sub 14 – Diario Lanco

The sports activity organized by the Extracurricular Department of the Daem de Lanco, with great satisfaction, sees another stage of the 2022 School Games concluded, this time in U14 women’s basketball.

After the basketball championship in the ladies category, with the presence of the authorities of the commune, the corresponding award ceremony was held, where medals and cups were awarded to the first three places in the student contest.

The award ceremony was attended by the mayor(s) Patricio Contreras, the Director of the Municipal Education Department, José Gutiérrez, the president of the Lanco Football Association Sergio Chaparro, the director of the Alberto Córdova school, Andrea Soto and relatives of Wenceslado Aravena RIP

The Result in the Ladies Basketball, Sub 14 category, was as follows:

FIRST PLACE; ALBERTO CORDOVA LATORRE SCHOOL

SECOND PLACE; BERNARDO FELMER SCHOOL.

THIRD PLACE; REPUBLIC OF BRAZIL HIGH SCHOOL

For the mayor(s), Patricio Contreras, he highlighted these initiatives, which allow a certain normality to be resumed in the sports area, after the health situation that kept students limited in this type of activity, a sport that also allows an opportunity for the process training and also enhances their talents, said the authority.


While the Director of Daem, José Gutiérrez Lillo, was happy with what is being achieved with the return to sports activities, the children leave happy, they leave with learning, with values ​​of emotion, of the socio- emotional that is also present in these competitions, said the Director of the Department of Education.

The person in charge of the Extracurricular Department of the Daem, Carlos Matamala, made a positive assessment in this category, noting that the winning school now begins its preparation for the Zonal in August, where they will have to measure themselves against their peers in the group or zone 4 made up of the communes from Panguipulli, Los Lagos and Lanco.
