The Judo Association of San Juan de la Maguana achieved top honors in the 42nd edition of the Invitational Tournament of Judo that took place on the roof of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) from San Juan.
The invitational tournament was attended by athletes from 15 judo associations. The team from San Juan de la Maguana asserted its status as host to add 10 gold, 10 silver and 13 bronze medals, and a total of 1,113 points.
The Judo Association of the National District (Asojudina) ranked second, product of three gold medals, equal amount of silver and two bronze, to add 332 points.
The third place trophy was in the hands of the Judo Association of San Pedro de Macoris, which had 315 points, product of three gold medals, one silver and five bronze. With 312 points (three golds, one silver and two bronzes) the Judo Association of San Cristóbal achieved the fourth step, and the fifth for the Duarte province, with 311 points with three gold medals.
