Samurai Makellos – Judo Austria

The start of the 2nd men’s Bundesliga on Saturday in Bischofshofen turned into a show of force by the Vienna Samurai. The Viennese not only showed up with Attila Ungvari (HUN), who had just finished third at the European Championships, but then also won all four fights. Attila Ungvari and Zoltan Ambrus both claimed four wins. It only got really tight against the team from ESV Sanjindo Bischofshofen II, in the end there was a 4:3 win.

With ESV Sanjindo Bischofshofen II, PSV Salzburg and the Judo Union Burgkirchen-Schwand, no fewer than three teams hold six points each.

The surprise of the day was provided by ÖJV base trainer Julius Meinel, who was called up at short notice due to an injury-related cancellation at PSV and won all his fights with Ippon.
