A few days ago during his podcast The Big Podcast With Shaq, Shaquille O’Neal knocked again Rudy Gobert.
When co-host Spice Adams said he thought Gobert could have limited him to just 12 points, he retorted:
“12 dots? Yeah, in the first 3 minutes,” retorted Shaq. ” I am going to tell you something. It’s against my religion when someone defends me one-on-one. I make it personal. Really. During the first action of the match, I used to watch what the defense was going to do. Like ‘Okay, the defender for Spice (Adams) comes to the aid for the double-take. Spice is going to be wide open.’ I always analyzed the first action. If I received the ball and nobody came to help, I took it as a lack of respect.
Do you know what I would do against him? He’s a blocker. I am not a shooter. You have to shove her skinny little ass all the way under the circle. You show him your elbow to scare him and you go up to the circle: ‘bam bam!’ »
Then according to him, Rudy Gobert must be transferred, “but who is going to want to pay so much for a guy who cannot score? The game has changed. Defense makes you win titles, but also score. »
The French pivot reacted to the fact that he couldn’t contain the Shaq on Instagram:
« I would lock his ass up » Rudy Gobert
Basically, he would turn off Shaq.
What do you think of a hypothetical duel between Shaq and Rudy?
