The defender has been called to the NHL club along with nine other hockey players from the Toronto farm club “Marlies”.

In the American Hockey League (AHL) Toronto “Marlies”, the Latvian defender scored one goal, ten assists and a +/- score in 58 games this season.
It has already been reported that Ruby, who will expire after this season, will not take part in the World Cup.
The next round of the Maple Leafs in the first round of the Stanley Cup will be played on Wednesday at the Lightning.
The Toronto team is in the lead 1-0.
