Roland Garros announced an increase in prize money

One of the pleasant surprises of the announcement will favor one of the disciplines that receives the least throughout the calendar cycle. The doubles pictures They will increase the monetary prize by 6.0%, with 580,000 euros for the winners and 290,000 for the finalists.

But without a doubt, the qualifying rounds are the most benefited from this change. They will have an improvement of 66% compared to 2019 and 30% if compared to 2021. Playing the first round of the preliminary phase will bring 14,000 euros and achieving a place in the final table, which means overcoming three phases, 31,000 euros .
