Registration for the XVII EDM Torrelavega Urban Sports Campus, which will be held from July 4 to 29 at the facilities of the Pintor Escudero Espronceda de Tanos school, will open from Monday 16.
Aimed at children born between 2007 and 2017, the campus organized by the EDM Torrelavega in collaboration with the City Council takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., although this edition offers an early bird service with entry at 8:00 a.m. and departure at 2:00 p.m. .
In addition, one of the novelties of this edition is the dining room service that will be offered from 1:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
This was announced by the Councilor for Sports, Nacho González, who explained that the participants will have the opportunity to practice different sports such as judo, handball, volleyball, rhythmic gymnastics, hockey or basketball; outings will be made on foot and by bicycle; there will be a night for the elderly, as well as games of tracking, workshops, etc.
Entries can be made from May 16 in the Vicente Trueba pavilion, in the office of the EDM de Judo, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The leaflets with the information can be picked up at the Vicente Trueba.
González has encouraged families to enroll their children in an activity that has sport as a common thread and that also aims to facilitate the reconciliation of family and work life during the summer.
Along with González, the director of the camp, Pablo Polidura, and the municipal sports coach, Alex García, have been at the presentation.
