Pre Youth Tennis World Cup: Meet the Veracruzanos who will represent Mexico – Diario de Xalapa

Veracruz tennis players Hanne Estrada, Carolina Alonso and Ignacio Ruiz will participate in the Pre Junior World Tennis Championships to be held in Vallarta Portafter winning titles in the tournament Selective National.

The best eight players in the country participated in the event in categories 14 and 16 years in male and femalewho fought for a place in the national representatives that will participate in the Pre World Cup that will be from May 5 to 7 of this month.

The outstanding Hanne Estrada, in Category 14F, manages to be part of the national representative as Racquet #2 by winning the title of the selective event, which is why she now ensures her participation in the tournament of the ITF-WJTC World Junior Tennis Championship North/Central America & Caribbean Final Qualifying.

Estrada will team up with Marianne Ángel from Chiapas and Fernanda Temprana from Yucatán, Raquetas #1 and #3 respectively, who will face competitors from the United States, Canada and Guatemala.

For her part, the tennis player Carolina Alonso, Category 16F, is installed in the representative of Mexico as Racquet #1, for which she will take part in the ITF-JBJKC Junior Billie Jean King Cup North/Central America & Caribbean Final Qualifying tournament.

She will team up with Nicole Sifuentes and Lya Fernández, both from Nuevo León and Raquetas #2 and #3 respectively; the group will face the United States, Canada and the Dominican Republic.

While Ignacio Ruiz, Category 16V, Racquet #3, will play the ITF tournament – JDC Junior Davis Cup North/Central America & Caribbean Final Qualifying, teaming up with Andrés Delgadillo from Chihuahua and Santiago Portugal from Guanajuato, Racquets #1 and # two; They will have as rivals teams from the United States, Canada and the Dominican Republic.

It is announced that the teams will compete to obtain one of the two available places for the Final Championships of the World Junior Tennis Championship (Category 14F) that will be from August 1 to 6 in Prostejov, Czech Republic; Junior Billie Jean King Cup (Category 16F) and Junior Davis Cup (Category 16V), the latter two to be held from November 1 to 6 in Antalya, Turkey.

These championships are organized and endorsed by the ITF-International Tennis Federation and involve 16 national teams that were previously eliminated from more than 100 countries, through 5 qualifying regions; Africa, North/Central America and the Caribbean, South America, Europe and Asia/Oceania.
