PGA Tour – Jon Rahm still leads Mexico Open

(Belga) The world No.2 Jon Rahm retains control of the Mexico Open, counting for the first time for the North American PGA Tour, after the third round played on Saturday.

The Spaniard made 4 birdies against 1 bogey to return a card of 68, or 3 strokes under par. “I played really good golf,” Rahm said. “So far I’m proud of the way I’ve played and I can just continue to enjoy every moment and hope to play as solidly as I did.” Seeking his seventh career PGA title and his first since winning his first Major last year at the US Open, Rahm is two shots ahead of Americans Kurt Kitayama and Cameron Champ, who respectively returned cards of 66 and 67. Kitayama, in search of his first PGA title, missed the green on the 17th hole and bogeyed, falling behind Rahm. Champ had two consecutive bogeys on the 15th and 16th holes, which penalized his final score after 6 birdies on the first 14th holes. (Belga)
