PGA Championship : Tiger Woods en souffrance, Rory McIlroy en feu

Will Tiger Woods make the cut like he did last April at Augusta? The American champion will have to fight during this second major which is played on the course of Southern Hill, located in Tusla (Oklahoma). He finished his first round in 74, four strokes over par. He had however started rather well with two birdies on his outward journey, but the beautiful machine jammed, especially around the greens. These bunker exits lacked precision, and he was unsuccessful in putting with an unusual total of seven bogeys. In the sweltering heat, he also appeared to be in physical pain. The visual impression he left was not great. We saw him limp a lot, obviously from the consequences of his terrible car accident which had almost cost him his right leg.

Tiger Woods shared his part with Jordan Spieth and Rory Mcllroy. In the past, the Irishman who has been chasing a Grand Slam for ages (2014) missed his Major debut. Well, he made the statistics lie by taming this course wonderfully. Solid at the start with formidable power in driving, he was excellent on the greens. He ends this first day with seven birdies, and a card of 65, five shots under par.
