Peñarol was sanctioned with six games without an audience and takes away two points

The sanction will become effective in the next seasonso it has no consequences in the definition of the current Uruguayan League.

As detailed in the ruling document, the referees denounced that when there were 4.2 seconds left to finish the match, the president of Malvín Sergio Somma, members of the bank and associates of Malvín they invaded the court to rebuke the aurinegro player John Flowers.

Later, when the judges tried to go to the television monitor to review what had happened, these people prevented them from approaching the monitor and because of them they went to the changing rooms and they suspended the game due to lack of guarantees.

In addition, they denounced the players Fausto and Nicola Pomoli for knocking on the door and insulting them.

According to the evidence presented at the hearing, there were no merits to sanction the president and the fans of Malvín, nor the players denounced because “Those who entered the field were not Malvín supporters, but security from both clubs, who did not have identification vests”points to the text.

Peñarol was sanctioned for violence by his supporters and no evidence was presented for an act of provocation by the player Flowers towards the rival fans.
