What a very curious Moving Day on the Birmingham side for Thorbjørn Olesenco-leader with the New Zealander Ryan Fox on the evening of the first round. The Dane has indeed remained “powerless” for a very long time on this mythical route, host to several Ryder Cup between 1985 and 2002.
Bogey conceded on 1, eagle on 5 then again bogey on 10, the winner of the Ryder Cup 2018 au Golf National suddenly came out of his torpor by first slamming a superb eagle on the par 5 of the 17th, even brushing against an improbable albatross, before investigating a putt of 7.50 meters on the green of the 18th for birdie.
