NBA titlist Milwaukee Bucks wins 110-107 at the Boston Celtics in an incredibly thrilling and heated playoff battle tonight to take a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series — a big step in Getting closer to the conference finals in the east. A real blood victory!
PLAYER BEATS MEGA-STAR GIANNIS BLOODY!
Bucks megastar Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered a bleeding wound in his right eye shortly before the end — from a punch from teammate Pat Connaughton!
During a rescue operation, he rams his forearm into the Greek’s face. The blood spurts, Giannis has to be treated several times on the sidelines in the heated final phase. With a bleeding eye, he even slams in a threesome — keeping the Bucks in the game.
Connaughton of all people becomes the match winner a short time later!
WHAT AN INSANE ENDING!
107:105 for Boston. 14 seconds are left to play. After two fouls by Williams, Giannis has to go to the free-throw line. As is well known, the Greek is not the very best free-throw shooter. The first try — in! 107:106 only. The second attempt — taps on the ring, does not go in. But Portis jumps up and sinks the rebound. 107:108 suddenly!
The Celtics with power forward. Smart rushes to the basket — and is blocked by Holiday! loss of possession The Bucks have the ball again.
Giannis interjects — on Connaughton, who grew up near Boston. The Celtics immediately foul him. Two free throws.
Connaughton is ice cold and sinks both. 107:110. 5.9 seconds left on the clock. Now the Celtics need a threesome. But Smart loses the ball again against Holiday – the end!
Giannis, who scores a total of 40 points and gets eleven rebounds, into the TNT mic after the game about his blood injury: “It’s been a tough couple of days, but I’m fine. We did what we wanted to do and won here. Thanks to Pat. He’s incredibly important to us. He always gives his all in every game.”
