NBA PlayOffs 2022: Did Jordan Poole Injure JA Morant on Purpose?

CWith the game already decided in the last quarter, Morant (34 points and 7 assists) went to the bench with a possible injury to his right knee after a play in which Jordan Poole defended him.

“Poole grabbed his knee and pulled on it, which set off what happened,” Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins said after the game.

The action is at least doubtful and somewhat inexplicable by the movement that Jordan Poole makes, of grabbing Morant’s right knee resting on the ground with his right hand and for which the controversy arose after the game. In a play in which the Grizzlies point guard felt pressured and about to steal the ball, Poole’s movement came, causing Morant to have to leave the game and the controversy to explode in the air and much more after the unfortunate action in which Payton ended up with a broken elbow.
