For the sixth straight season, Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert is one of the NBA’s top five defensive teams of the season. The French particularly like Marcus Smart and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Adebayo’s boss in the second defensive five

They too had hoped to be rewarded this way, but they were placed in the second defensive formation this season. This is the case of Bam Adebayo (Miami), who is only one vote away from overtaking Jackson Jr. to finish the first team. When the Grizzlies’ opponents scored 153 points, the Heat, who were second team members for the third straight season, received 152 votes (first and second teams combined). This second defensive five also rewards Jrue Holiday (Milwaukee, 89 votes), Matisse Thybulle (Philadelphia, 87 votes), Robert Williams III (Boston, 70 votes) and Draymond Green (Golden State, 34 votes).
