Grand finale at the national university championships in Cassino for Cus Camerino, which closes with three gold medals in athletics, two signed by Ahmed Abdelwahed and one by Michele Antonelli, with three silvers in judo and a bronze in tennis.

Abdelwahed and Antonelli seal in the best way a season to remember for athletics from Camerte, the first one beating the competition in 1500 and in particular in 5000 with a crazy 13’48 ” (abysmal gap of 45 ” from the silver medal won by Riccardo Martellato), the second to graduate Italian university walking champion, closing the race with an excellent 19’41 ”. 5000 meters. Judo which, for its part, is confirmed as a sport of excellence in the Cus Camerino tradition at the national university championships with an overall seventh place among all the participating Cus, the result of three silver medals: Nicola Becchetti in the +100 kg category for men, Kevyn Perna in the 100 kg category for men and Raffaella Ciano in the 70 kg category for women. Bronze in tennis, with Elena Pavolucci’s third place in the women’s singles. Many of these young people follow the dual career path of the University of Camerino, strongly supported also by the rector Claudio Pettinari. Thus ends the 2022 edition, with the Cus Camerino delegation present to receive the flag of the national university championships in preparation for a 2023 edition to be experienced.
