After 11 days of pure passion, rhythm, party and sport, the III South American Youth Games have their last day this Sunday, May 8, with an agenda that promises all the emotions, passions and intensities that characterized the first to the last meeting. . And again the Fan Fest opens its doors to accompany each of the nine disciplines that put the finishing touch to Rosario 2022.
Athletics, Badminton, Weightlifting, Futsal, Hockey 5, Cycling, Beach Handball, Fencing and Boxing give the final blow to the 26 sports that passed through Rosario.
Together with the 2,500 athletes who competed, all the volunteers will finally be able to enjoy an emotional closing ceremony at the Lake of the Parque Único Suramericano, in a goodbye that will be at the same time a promise of new proposals for multidisciplinary events in the city of sports.
As for sports, at the Municipal Stadium Cluster, Athletics closes with the final in the hammer throw and shot put (both in men), 400 meter hurdles for men and women, women’s and men’s triple jump, 200 meter dash in women and male, 3,000 meters flat in female and male and mixed 4 × 400 relay.
Badminton says goodbye at Newell’s from 10 o’clock with the finals for the gold of all its categories and with representation of Peru in all of them.
In Beach Handball, at the Arena del Clúster La Rural stadium, the final for gold and the matches for bronze are disputed, with the attractive classics between Argentina and Brazil for first place, in both categories.
In Boxing, held in Pavilion C of La Rural, there will be fights for gold, all for men, in 49-52 kg, 52-57 kg, 57-63 kg, 63-59 kg, 69-75 kg. The Argentine Luciano Amaya will participate for the gold medal in the 63-59 kg category.
On the other hand, with free admission, Cycling will tour the streets of the Parque Único Suramericano with its finals in the men’s and women’s Criterium.
In Fencing, in Pavilion A of La Rural, the Saber modality is presented in male and female, from the group phase in the morning to awarding medals in the early afternoon. The last three matches will be in the Mixed category, from the quarterfinals. In this discipline it will be the turn of Rosario Paulina Guerscovich, at 8 am in women’s saber.
Futsal, one of the great attractions of the Games, disputes its final and the match for third place in the Provincial Cluster. Argentina and Brazil will animate the fight for the golden, and it is expected that the stadium will be full.
In the Hippodrome Cluster, the men’s Hockey 5 defines its medalists with the final also between Argentina and Brazil, with the participation of Simón Casiello from Rosario, from 10 am. While for third place Chile is measured against Bolivia.
Finally, the Weightlifting, in Pavilion B of La Rural, will have action of 81 kg for men and 64 kg, with their skills in Snatch, Clean and Jerk and Total.

The finishing touch of the South American Youth Games will be the Closing Ceremony, which will have the Parque Independencia Lake as the setting. The event will mean lowering the curtain on Rosario 2022 and will have athletes and volunteers as main actors.
The closing ceremony will feature the delegations parading and the volunteers as prominent protagonists, highlighting the effort, desire and sacrifice of hundreds of young and old. There will be music and color as a celebration, celebrating the successful end of the competitions.
The multisport event will say goodbye with the participation of Mayor Pablo Javkin; Governor Omar Perotti; and the president of Odesur, Camilo Pérez López Moreira.
