Max Homa resists Bradley’s final attack to win the Wells Fargo

Max Homa (272 strokes) was awarded the Wells Fargo Championship Despite the final load of Keegan Bradley (274 hits), the only player who put him in trouble, although in the end there was a three-way tie for second place. The one from Scottsdale is the fifth player (the others are Matsuyama, Scheffler, Burns and Cameron Smith) with more than one victory this season (the one in the Fortinet Championship belongs to this golf course) and it is his fourth on the PGA Tour.

The outcome of the tournament it got interesting on the 16th hole, when Homa lost her three-shot lead with Bradley to just one. The first left the ball in an area with no exit to the flag on his first shot, and was towed in the successive ones to finally sign the bogey; the second, just the opposite, and with his birdie he put pressure on the until then clear leader of the day.

On the 18th, 2011 PGA Championship winner Bradley went into the teeing bunker and was no longer able to attack the pin with his second shot, while Homa had no problem making par. Rory McIlroy, who was defending his crown at the TPC Potomac, passed it on to a Homa, who scored his second win at this event.

The only Spaniard in contention, Sergio Garca (280 hits), ended in a meritorious 21 positions after signing 68 last day. The one from Borriol made a double bogey on the 13th hole that prevented him from improving his final position, although on the 14th he could make up for it with a good birdie putt. The 2017 Masters winner was brilliant in just about every aspect of the game in his final round.
