Masell was Korner’s assistant from 2016 to 2021, last season he worked as John Patrick’s assistant in Ludwigsburg. The 41-year-old has now signed a one-year contract.
“He knows Bayreuth as a basketball location very well, has enormous basketball skills and has developed further in the current season in Ludwigsburg. During this time, we never broke off contact with Lars and it quickly became clear to us that after the Farewell to Raoul Korner is a very interesting candidate for us,” explained Managing Director Johannes Feuerpfeil.
