The Tenerife Marlins Puerto Cruz got a double victory yesterday (0-13 and 1-3) against Viladecans in the Interleague matchday of the Spanish Baseball League. The brilliant performance of pitcher Ronald Medrano prevented the Catalan team from scoring a single run in the first of the duels. The Marlins’ offensive performance was also at a good level. In the first inning he opened the scoring with Wander Encarnación’s run propelled by a line hug to Joel Borges’ center field. From then on the Marlins were unstoppable.
In the second match there was more equality, although the people from Tenerife were much better and also scored the second victory of the day by the final 1-3.
