Union gets forfeit after a discontinued match against Beerschot: “The chain was thrown from a chainsaw”
Union can count itself three points richer. The Disciplinary Council for Professional Football made a decision yesterday after Sunday’s abandoned match. As expected, the Beerschot imposes a flat defeat. This follows the claim of the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office. Union will start the play-offs with three points ahead of Club. The seat also revealed many striking details, such as the chain of a chainsaw being thrown at police and Union fans, but also coins, bricks, bottles and lighters.
