Ludwigsburg secures home advantage – Bayern against Chemnitz

Since the MHP giants Ludwigsburg beat the MLP Academics Heidelberg 98:83 (46:41) in the last main round game of the season on Wednesday, they claimed fourth place – and the Chemnitz team remained sixth in the table. FC Bayern was already in third place.

The Ludwigsburg initially struggled against the guests. The throws from the line of three didn’t fall, so Heidelberg was able to pull away to seven points. In the second quarter, however, the hosts presented themselves in their usual strong form and were able to go into the break with a lead thanks to a 12-0 run.

In the second half, the home side were able to extend their lead and gained important self-confidence before the play-offs. There you will meet ratiopharm Ulm.

On Friday and Sunday (both 8.30 p.m. / MagentaSport), Munich will play Chemnitz at home, who won all three games of the season against the favorites – including the quarter-finals of the cup.
