Liverpool FC is facing a mega deal. As the English “Daily Mail” reports, the “Reds” are negotiating with jersey sponsor Standard Chartered about an extension of the commitment.
The club wants to be paid royally for a new deal by star coach Jürgen Klopp (54). The bank’s logo has graced Liverpool’s jersey since 2018. This sponsorship will expire after the 2022/23 season. So far, the company has paid almost 48 million euros per season for jersey advertising. Liverpool want double now!
If the Premier League club pushed through this demand of around 96 million euros per season in the negotiations, it would be the biggest jersey deal in football.
The “Reds” breast is popular. In addition to the current sponsor, those responsible for Liverpool are also talking to other companies. There should be many interested parties. No wonder.
