Kevin De Bruyne praised by a teammate: “Nothing to do with Modric or Iniesta”

A totally crazy scenario of which only the Premier League has the secret and whose outcome took place last weekend: Manchester City won the Premier League at the end of a mano a mano which kept football fans in suspense during all season. This is the Citizens’ fourth title in the last five seasons. The fourth also for a certain Kevin De Bruyne.

Injured in the foot during the first months of the season, KDB took a little time to regain its best level. But once he found it, he carried Manchester City on his shoulders. So much so that he was voted Premier League Player of the Season. And his teammates understood it well. In an interview with the Spanish newspaper AS, his teammate Rodri explained that the Devil was the real boss of the Citizens.

For the 25-year-old Spaniard, there is no doubt that Kevin De Bruyne is “the best player I’ve played with. He’s spectacular and has everything a modern midfielder has to offer.”

Rodri even ventured a daring comparison with two of the best midfielders who have passed through the Spanish league in recent years: “He has nothing to do with Modric or Iniesta for example. He is vertical and always close to the area where the ball is.”

Our national KDB will no doubt appreciate the compliment!
