In a press conference before the trip to Newcastle this Saturday (0-1), Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp explained that his recent extension on the Reds bench would in no way affect the future of Sadio Mané and Mohamed Salah. The two Liverpool strikers are contracted to the banks of the Mersey until June 2023, but neither player has yet signed an extension and their future with the Reds remains uncertain.
“If it’s a positive sign for the boys, so much the better, but I don’t think it will be the only decisive thing for the decision they want to make. It’s their own life, but we just wanted to make sure that everyone who wants to be here knows what to expect.”said the German coach, who extended until 2026 on the Liverpool bench.
